It is reported that Hebei Iron and Steel Co the iron ore resources controlled by the company have increased six fold in the last three years to 5 billion tonnes.By the end of the 2011-2015 periods total iron ore resources controlled by Hebei Steel will reach 8 billion tonnes meeting 50% of the demand of the company.Hebei Steel controls iron ore resources in the Sijiaying, Macheng and other areas in the east of Hebei Province in China. Hebei Steel currently controls almost 3.6 billion tonnes of iron ore resources in the region.
